Greetings from Camp Edwards. My name is Jody Heimos and I have been the Executive Director of Camp Edwards since 2005. Prior to my arrival at Camp Edwards, I was the Asst. Camp Director of Camp Lakewood within the YMCA of the Ozarks organization, the same facility where I met my future wife as summer program staff back in 1993.

Camping has been a major part of my life since my father took me to family camp back when I was eight. Never having the chance to live at summer camp in a residential setting (sports got in the way), I never understood the impact it has on a child’s life. Now I see so many amazing things camp has done for the children we serve, and I feel blessed to be a part of this journey.

The favor of God has blessed me with my beautiful wife, Casey, and three terrific children: Sophia, Silas, and George. And of course, our little Frug dog, Lola and German Shepard, Dwight Eisenhower. We love hanging out as a family, playing sports, laughing, and vacationing in the beauty of Highlands, N.C. and Clayton, GA.
