Katie grew up at camp, spending many summers at a Girl Scout camp in West Bend. Once in High School, she became a lifeguard at that camp and the rest became history. She spent the next 14 years of working for the Girl Scouts at their camps in Southeastern Wisconsin, taking on many different program positions. During that time she acquired a degree from UW-Stevens Point in Youth Programming and Camp Management from the College of Natural Resources. 

She came to Camp Edwards 2016, starting as a program specialist during the school year. She then move to work for a nearby camp, Camp Alice Chester, as Outdoor Program Manager and Camp Director. In spring 2021, the opportunity to come back to Edwards presented itself and she jump! She is very excited to be back at Camp Edwards and doing Environmental Education.
